Spatiotemporal Tau Accumulation and its Clinical Impact on Progressive Supranuclear Palsy: Longitudinal Florzolotau (18F) Positron Emission Tomography

Sep 08, 2026

Using florzolotau (18F), an originally developed tau PET tracer, we longitudinally assessed patients with progressive supranuclear palsy and demonstrated that faster tau accumulation in the globus pallidus is associated with faster clinical progression. These findings support tau PET as an objective biomarker for disease progression and therapeutic development.
