Based on neuroscientific expertise and clerical/administrative competencies, attentive support will be provided to the researchers participating in this large-scale program to help them focus on their research and thereby contribute to efficient program execution. The team will encourage positive interactions between research groups/subprojects of different research themes and will effectively disseminate the achievements of these interactions to the national and international research communities and to the public. The team will also support the translation of research results from the program into practice by strengthening links with industry and by addressing intellectual property and ethical issues in close collaboration with the Practical Application Support Team.

Comprehensive Help for the Use of Human Brain Databases and International Partnerships

In ties with the Digital Brain Development Group (Group 4), this team will conduct clerical and administrative work relating to the integration and expansion of human brain databases and the development of the framework that enables data queries across different species. This team will coordinate closely with the Ethical Support Team. To help promote international partnerships in neuroscience research, this team will assume coordinating functions with relevant domestic communities and serve as a national contact point for the International Brain Initiative and other overseas collaborations.

To support individual subprojects in conducting research activities ethically, this team will address ethical issues in neuroscience research involving human subjects, including collection, database storage, and use of brain MRI images. The team will establish a system to handle consultation requests regarding ethical concerns that may arise during the research process, and assist researchers in identifying optimal solutions promptly.
