Development and provision of adeno-associated virus vectors optimized for marmoset brain research

In this research project, we produce various capsid-coated adeno-associated virus (AAV) vectors carrying different cell type–specific enhancers/promoters and assess their transduction properties in the marmoset cerebral cortex. In addition, we conduct screening of the AAV capsid library to find capsid variants that efficiently penetrate the marmoset blood-brain barrier. We will disclose the data swiftly to Brain/MINDS researchers, and provide AAV vectors to researchers upon request.
