The prefrontal cortex integrates diverse information, including sensory inputs from the external environment and emotional states, and plays a critical role in memory and decision-making. Dysfunction of the prefrontal cortex is associated with a wide range of psychiatric disorders. In this study, we aim to integrate data spanning molecular, cellular, neural circuit, and behavioral scales to construct a multiscale “digital brain” model of the mouse prefrontal cortex that can explain and predict interactions across these scales. We seek to advance our understanding of the mechanisms underlying psychiatric disorders and contribute to the development of new therapeutic strategies.
