The activity of individual neural elements during motor task is investigated using in vivo imaging of motor cortex. Neuronal activity during the motor learning is observed using calcium imaging, glutamate imaging and/or chemical labelling methods. We will analyze standard neural circuits and remodeled neural circuits during the learning in wild type as well as brain disease model mouse with large volume electron microscopy to understand the function of brain micro circuits.
