Alzheimer's disease (AD) patients are increasing as the population ages, but there is no fundamental treatment available. To address this, we will develop the AD model using the common marmoset, a small non-human primate, which will aid in the development of effective AD treatments. Additionally, due to the inbreeding progressing within Japanese marmoset colonies, we will introduce genetic resources from abroad to re-establish a sustainable marmoset colony in Japan.
