HCP Pipelines, the high-precision brain MRI analysis tool developed by the Human Connectome Project, has officially added support for non-human primate data, including macaques, marmosets, and chimpanzees, with contributions from the technology development teams of AMED’s Brain/MINDS Beyond and Brain/MINDS 2.0 programs. Analyzing all these species with the same pipeline removes methodological differences as a source of apparent species differences, supporting cross-species comparative studies such as those underway in the international Human Mammalian Brain Atlas (HMBA) project.
